Souvenirs

Tosca at the Beach in Florida

When most people travel, they buy a post card, or a T-shirt as a souvenir.

Not us.

We adopt a hound.

Life's a Beach

It's chilly & overcast today in Palm Beach.

That means one thing...a great opportunity to take your hound to the beach.

Please join us in the Saturday morning pet blogger hop...

Good Morning 2012!

Neal & Cruce celebrating the New Year.

I'm sitting here watching the golf carts zip by the window.

Cruce is sprawled out in front of the patio, recuperating from our 33 hour drive to Florida. Sound asleep, paws twitching. There's no doubt that he's dreaming of the squirrel that taunted him on his morning walk and all of the new smells that he's encountered. Every once and awhile, he lets out a sigh of contentment.

Yes, life is good.

In Palm Beach, its 80 degrees. Not much like the Eastern Canadian weather that we left behind on Monday.

Here's to 2012! A new year filled with opportunities.

Where will the next 12 months take us? I'm not sure. But, I bet it will be an adventure.

Get Your Greyhound Fix on Route 66!

Neal & I spent the last 10 days wandering around Arizona and Nevada. Normally, while we are away, we find some connection to our dogs. On this trip, it was our cruise of historic Route 66. The largest remaining portion of this road, that once connected Los Angeles to Chicago, runs through Arizona. The above picture was taken at a general store (& I should mention, the ONLY store) in Hackberry. At one time, this route was used extensively by motorists, whether private vehicles or Greyhound buses. Now days, it is a secondary highway & very desolate. Many of the communities along the road are now ghost towns.
