15 Minutes of Fame & Miss Nellie Auction

Quirky Cruce by Kellie Oliphant-Burns of Doodle Dog Paintings

Cruce has been given an additional 15 minutes of fame. I say additional because, of our four hounds, Cruce-ster Roo-ster was the rockstar of our ex-racers. He ran over 100 races (placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in half of them), came in 1st in several of his Stakes & was a Derby finalist.

This time around, he makes an appearance at the Miss Nellie Auction benefitting the OSU Greyhound Health & Wellness Program.

Kellie Oliphant-Burns of Doodle Dog Paintings donated a print of an original that we commissioned from her. I admit, I'm a "little" biased, but I think that the painting is gorgeous.

Quirky Cruce has already had several bids, so far raising $96.00 for the OSU Greyhound Health & Wellness Program. I love that Kellie chose to donate this print, because Cruce has bone cancer. The GHWP works diligently to help dogs like Cruce overcome this horrible disease.

If you haven't visited the auction yet, you really should. There's something for everyone & every hound. And the proceeds go to a great cause.

The auction closes October 31st at 10 PM Eastern.
